Emiko danced since she was 5 years old, primarily trained in ballet, jazz & hiphop. Her skills range from Hiphop, Indian Dance (Kathak, Bhangra, Garba & Bollywood) to Nihon Buyo (Japanese Traditional Dance). She has 23 years of professional performance experience in film, TV, Commercials, Theatre, Corporate Events to Award Ceremonies.
After watching her first Bollywood film Devdas, she fell in love with Indian Cinema and dance. She was invited to join Threebee Dance where she performed for 6 years in prestigious shows from Turkish Film Awards in Antalya, National Lottery Live, Uncle Ben’s UK Tour, Just Dance with Davina McCall, Hotel Babylon BBC1 to being a Semi-Finalist on Britain’s Got Talent.
Alongside her studies she Toured the UK with Independence, empowering women through performing and teaching Hip Hop Dance.
In her year Abroad in the US at UCSB, she joined the Hindi Film dance team choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan where they competed in National Competitions. She trained in kathak for 12 years under Pandit Guru Pratap Pawar and toured in India with Triveni Dance. Her Japanese heritage also encouraged her to train under Tanaka Hiroko for 10 years in Classical Japanese Dance (Nihon Buyo). Her consistent dedication to expand and develop her skills landed her work globally with highlights including working on feature films The Marvels, M.A.D, Hrithik Roshan Wax Launch at Madame Tussauds, The 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, EKA UK Tour, Bring On The Bollywood UK Tour and Olivier Awards
She is now the Founder, Creative Director & Choreographer of Award Winning International Dance Troupe, Epika Dance where she is now able to provide training and opportunities to her own dancers to become leaders in Dance.
Emiko has over 20 years of teaching experience. Her passion to empower others, extensive skills and knowledge in Indian, Japanese, Hiphop Dance as well as Martial Arts has made her one of the most sought after instructors in the UK & Abroad. No matter what background and dance ability, she is able to bring out the best in every dancer to enhance their skills and confidence. No goal is unattainable and she will work with you to achieve them. She has worked in Dance Schools, prestigious Academies and Gyms all over the UK. Emiko loves to share her passion for dance so teaches workshops in Japan and India where she offers traditional as well as unique fusions leaving her attendees energized and ready to take their next step into their dance training/career.
Her expansive work stretches from training artists and actresses, choreographing for film as well as musical productions and teaching workshops globally.
She has choreographed and assistant choreographed for celebrities such as Anne-Marie, Tiger Shroff, Saqib Saleem, Tapsee Pannu, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Raool, Anusree, Ant & Dec & Tara Sutaria.
Her teaching also extends to teaching at SEN (special Educational Needs) schools where she led dance intervention, workshops and programmes for the past 8 years.

Emiko’s extensive skills and knowledge in Indian, Japanese, Hiphop Dance as well as Martial Arts has made her desirable in offering a unique perspective in projects. Her work ranges from film, TV, Commercials, Theatre, Corporate Events, Fashion Shows to Award Ceremonies.
She has worked on prestigious projects including Olympic 2012 Opening Ceremony as part of the NHS Nurses choreographic Team to Being an Assistant Choreographer for many Bollywood feature films working with Actors as Katrina Kaif, Tiger Shroff & Sidhath Malhotra. Her Martial Arts skills have landed her work on Music Videos, live stage and TV.
