EMIKO'S JOURNEY
When Emiko was told there was “no space” for her, she trained to prove them wrong. She went on to perform on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, collaborate with renowned choreographers, actors and artists travelling the globe sharing her artistry. Along the way, she overcame two ACL surgeries and four shoulder dislocations, proving that resilience and dedication can overcome any obstacle.
As a Japanese artist leading an International Indian fusion dance company, she created opportunities for overlooked artists to grow, perform, and lead. Over the years, Emiko has taught tens of thousands of dancers, students, and artists worldwide. Many who started as students are now professional performers, teachers, and leaders across film, music, and international stages.
Her journey is a reminder: never give up on your dreams — stay focused, persevere, and keep moving forward. Emiko also realized her own dream of moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, proving that vision, courage, and persistence make the impossible possible.

Emiko isn’t just a coach — she is an artist, educator, and creative leader who has walked the path herself.
In 2010, Emiko created Epika Dance Company with a clear vision: to build a space for innovation, community, and creative empowerment. Epika became a home where dancers and creatives could train, evolve, and develop high level skills — a place to discover their unique voice, stand out with impact, and step into their potential as influential leaders in the industry.
For 15 years, Epika became a platform for training dancers, mentoring instructors, building leaders, and creating opportunities across film, TV, theatre, live events, and education.
Over 23 years, Emiko has carved her place as an award winning actress, choreographer, dancer, action performer, and mentor, working internationally while empowering artists worldwide.
